Welcome to my site! When you have finished reading this page, I can assure you that you will be much more educated on how to choose a quality skin care product that gives you the results you really want. I don’t know you, but if you’re anything like me, you are sick and tired of the skin care products out there that don’t live up to their promises. The worst part is that often the most expensive skin care products are the least effective. Surely, there are some good products out there too that really can help you get smoother, more radiant and youthful skin. A high-quality skin care product should help you reduce bags beneath the eyes and fine lines around the eyes, as well as give you an even skin tone. But the problem I found is that there are thousands, upon thousands of products to choose from, and it’s almost impossible to find a truly effective one that eliminates years of aging from your body and face, if you’re not a well-informed consumer. Let’s face it, the amount of money people will spend to make themselves look younger and more beautiful is huge. The cosmetic industry and the skin care products industry are multi-billion dollar industries.
When the demand for these kinds of products is so high, even more companies will try to make money of it, it’s just how it works. Many of the skin care products are rushed to the market to meet the demand, the companies behind them don’t put real consideration into research and development. Instead, their whole budget goes into marketing the product. They make appealing tubes, bottles and jars, and have glossy ads in magazines with a young model or a celebrity, who almost always has never even used the product. No wonder they’re charging so much for their products. When you have just spent a fortune on radio, magazine and TV ads, product containers and royalties to models and celebrities, you have to charge a lot or you will go bankrupt. But there’s no need for you and me to fall for their marketing stunts. The companies will survive without us, there are so many people buying the products hoping they will work. The reality today is that most people don’t feel they have the time to do their own research and learn what ingredients work and what ingredients actually have negative effects on the skin and makes you look older! That’s the reason I made this website, so let’s get into it.
5 Ingredients to Avoid
In this section, we'll talk about some of these, so you can learn to avoid them. #1 - Mineral Oil First off we have mineral oil, I have seen mineral oil used in hundreds of skin care products with my own eyes. Mineral oil can also go by the names petrolatum, liquid paraffin, and paraffin wax on the label. It is used in skin care products so often for one reason, it's incredibly cheap, so the companies that use it make more money! When you apply a product that uses mineral oil on your skin, your skin suffocates, because mineral oil clogs your pores. It disrupts your body's ability to get rid of toxins, and can lead to serious acne flare-ups. Mineral oil also irritates your skin if you use it for a prolonged period of time. Your skin can also become dependent on it, which can lead to chapping and dry skin. Last, but not least, it can cause your skin to age faster. Isn't it amazing that this substance is even allowed in skin care products at all? #2 – Fragrances Fragrances can smell nice, but I would recommend that you use some perfume, cologne or deodorant instead. Your skin care products shouldn't contain any fragrances at all. The reason is because many fragrances are made from ingredients that are toxic or carcinogenic, and you do not want those things on your skin. Your skin is the largest organ of your body, so you have to remember that anything you put on it will be absorbed into your body. So why would I recommend that you use deodorant as a fragrance, but not a skin care product with it? I am sure that many deodorants and perfumes contain some bad ingredients, but I'm a realist. I know that people won't stop using these products. However, if you use perfumes and deodorants, you use a tiny amount, and still smell good. This is in my opinion a lot better than using a skin care product that you apply all over your skin. If you can use a dab here and there, instead of putting it all over your skin, it is a lot better. You don't want dangerous fragrance chemicals to be absorbed by your body. #3 – Dioxane Dioxane is a synthetic derivative of coconut. It is widely used in skin care products. You will find that it usually contains high concentrations of 1,4-dioxane, which is easily absorbed by your skin. This might sound crazy, but hear me out. 1,4-dioxane is considered by the state of California to cause cancer. Imagine that people pay money to put this stuff on their skin, scary. #4 – Parabens There are many different kinds of parabens, they are butyl, ethyl, propyl, and methyl paraben. Many lotions, creams, and moisturizers use parabens as a preservative, so their products can have a longer shelf life. The reason they use parabens is purely for economical reasons. Recent studies suggest that parabens may cause cancer and interfere with your body's endocrine system. On top of that they may also cause allergic reactions and skin rashes. #5 – Alcohols The different alcohols you'll find are ethanol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, isopropyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, and SD alcohol. These alcohols dry and irritate your skin. They strip away your skin's natural acid mantle, making you more susceptible to bacteria, moulds and viruses. Now that we've taken a look at some of the bad ingredients, let's have a look at what ingredients you want in your skin care products, and a few ingredients that might sound good, but aren't.
Ingredients to Look For
The biggest reason why we get wrinkles, fine lines and our skin starts to sag is the loss of collagen and elastin. This is the most technical I am going to get on this website, so stay with me for a few seconds. Collagen is a fibrous protein. What separates collagen from the rest is that it has tensile strength, which basically means that it provides firmness to our skin. You don't need a degree to understand that, when you start to lose collagen due to aging, the firmness of your skin starts to become, well, less firm. More and more wrinkles appear and your skin starts to sag. Elastin is also a protein that helps your skin stay flexible and firm. If your skin gets stretched, elastin is the one that helps it return to its normal position. So what does this all mean? It simply means that you want to avoid buying a skin care product that is nothing more than a cream, or lotion that fills in wrinkles and fine lines, giving you off the appearance of nice looking skin, when in fact the effects are only temporary. When you wash the cream off, the illusion is shattered. You want to look for a product that contains ingredients that stimulate your body to create its own collagen and elastin, and if you can do this, you will begin to turn back the clock. Now, pay attention, because I am going to share something extremely important with you. Many of the manufacturers of the more expensive products will try to fool the public by including some really nice active ingredients. And what's wrong with that you say? Well, here's the tactic they employ. Because these ingredients are beneficial for your skin, they put just enough in there so they can legally list them on their product label. This tricks the customer into believing that they are buying a great product, when in fact, the manufacturer isn't putting in enough of the active ingredient to benefit anyone using it. A lot of these manufacturers can't afford to put in more than the minimum amount, because they spend all their money on marketing and advertising. So when you're choosing a skin care product, it is not just about finding one with good ingredients, it is also about finding one that has the right amount of a few specific ingredients.
4 Powerful Ingredients and How They Work
Collagen After what you learned about collagen, you would think that getting a product with collagen would be the right thing to do, and the companies that sell products that have collagen know this. But it is all bogus, because collagen molecules are too large to be absorbed by your skin. So applying it on your skin is a waste of money and time. If you want any benefit from collagen, you have to get a product that has ingredients that stimulate your body to make more collagen on its own. Phytessence Wakame Phytessence is an exotic kelp that comes from the Japanese sea. It blocks a harmful enzyme in your body that is called hyaluronidase. What hyaluronidase does is it breaks down hyaluronic acid in your skin. You might say to yourself "well why should I care?" There are many reasons, but one is that without hyaluronic acid, the collagen and elastin fibers lose their glue, this leads to premature aging, sagging skin and more wrinkles. Don't just take my word for it though, you can research this yourself on wikipedia. There you'll read, for example, "Hyaluronan is also a major component of skin, where it is involved in tissue repair." Cynergy TK Cynergy TK is a new, cutting edge substance. It stimulates your body to grow its own collagen and elastin. It has been proven in clinical studies, so it isn't just a made up claim. It promotes firmness, elasticity and reduces wrinkles. Those who use it get more youthful and healthier looking skin. I know this is true because I use it myself. Studies have shown a 14% improvement in skin moisture retention over almost 3 weeks. They also show an improvement in skin elasticity of 42% over 18 days. CoQ10 When you look at the label of better skin care products, you'll often see CoQ10 in there. CoQ10 is an abbreviation for Coenzyme Q10, it might be listed in this way as well. It is a vitamin like substance, it is found in all of your body's cells and it is crucial for maintaining healthy and youthful skin. Coenzyme Q10 is a very strong antioxidant. A lot of skin aging and damage comes from free radicals causing trouble in your body's cells. Coenzyme Q10 has the ability to neutralize these free radicals before any damage occurs, and thus keeping your skin healthy. There's a problem though. As we age, our Coenzyme Q10 reserves become depleted, and it starts to show in our skin. Coenzyme Q10 is a powerful and great ingredient, but there are different forms of it, and not all forms are the same. One form stands above the rest, and this version is called Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10. The name might sound advanced, but don't let that scare you off. Here's why Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10 is different from all the other forms. Most Coenzyme Q10 that you can get in a skin care product cannot really be used by your skin. Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10, on the other hand, has a special nano-emulsion form, which can penetrate deeply into your skin, providing much stronger benefits for your skin health. Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10 can penetrate down 7 layers deep. Because it can go so many layers into your skin, it is extremely effective at getting rid of free radicals, and this results in a very powerful anti-wrinkle effect. And best of all, it can also promote collagen and elastin production in your body. Together, these ingredients that I have just talked about are some of the most powerful anti-aging skin care compounds available on the market today. They have a dramatic effect on your skin, if you use them, you will look healthier, younger and have less wrinkles. You can find all of these ingredients in one product line at the Xtend-Life Natural Products Company. This company is located in New Zealand but ships products world-wide. I use their products daily, and the results I've seen is nothing short of amazing. Xtend-life is not a household name. They do not have celebrities promoting their products, and they do not advertise on the radio, TV or in magazines. They are one of the few companies that I've found to spend most of their money on creating the best natural skin care products available, not the best advertising hype. I think of them as my "secret weapon" the big companies don't want me to know about, and you can do the same! So if you really want to have younger looking more vibrant skin, I suggest you visit their website, and read about their philosophy. I think you will be as impressed as I am with them, and at the very least, you will learn a lot more about skin care products and how you can take care of your skin. I hope you enjoyed this site. Regards,
